| Typical
Arcnet network topology
Most of Arcnet network configure
as a star topology. It is the most efficient and reliable
configuration. Each computer with an arcnet card is attached
to an arcnet hub. In a star topology, you do not need
to use a 93 ohm terminator at the end of your cable connection.
Below is a typical star topology setup.

On the other hand, if you are using a Bus topology setup,
you are required to use a 93 ohm terminator at both side
of the coaxial cable run. Without installing the proper
terminator, you might encounter communication errors between
arcnet
devices. Below is diagram for a typical Bus topology setup.

Our 8 port arcnet
hub works with most of arcnet card available
on the market. Even if you are using QNX v2.0 8 bit arcnet
card, our 8 port arcnet hub is 100% hardware and software
compatible.
